Our DVR is too packed on Thursday nights so we're watching it on Demand....I wonder if the cable company's factor On-Demand into ratings?

From what I understand, unless it changed, ratings are determined only by people chosen by a third party. Nielsen?

This is correct. While the networks do keep track of DVR numbers those numbers don't factor into the Nielsen ratings.

Last night's episode was one of the best hours of TV in a long time in my opinion, and then this.

Fuck.

If it wasn't for Community I would have no reason to ever watch NBC again. It saddens me that people didn't realize how awesome this show was.

They are. Holding this show back for March 01 was an automatic death-sentence.

But I feel it will stand well as a single season series.

Should I even bother watching the whole season? I stopped after a few episodes. Don't want to be let down like when The Chicago Code. Was sooo disappointed when I knew I wouldn't be able to watch anymore of it. I had 6 shows Tivo'd, but waited until renew/cancel. only one got renewed. Guess I made the right choice in not bothering with the rest.

Always still worth going through a good show.

Terriers is in not diminished because it did not go on. Neither is The Chicago Code. It is still great and in most cases it stands well on it own. Some argue even greater.
