Never saw the original. I assumed it was the Soviet Union, who were certainly capable of launching a major invasion of another country (not that the U.S. is very "invadeable" so to speak). North Korea, not so much. Must be backed by Chinese bitches. But that would upset the Chinese immensely if we had a movie like that.

The original film was stupid but felt authentic and had some good scenes. This looks like Red Dawn 90210. Should have kept it on the shelf MGM.

LOL, I just watched the original yesterday....
In the original it was the Russians and the Cubans and also the Nicaraguan's IIRC, so that was pretty absurd also.
I always liked the movie, but it is pretty cheezy.
Ill see the new one, but on DVD, not in the theater.

Yeah,but at least at the time the scenerario of multiple entry invasion seem somewhat feasible at the time. This crap makes Homefront somehow look less silly.
