That said, every once in awhile you seem to say that you're looking forward to it, but I just haven't really seen anything that you've posted pointing out something that you are looking forward to seeing. And I've asked twice now if there is anything that you find redeeming about the flick, and you haven't answered, which leads me to think that the answer is no.

Well I like Bale as an actor, though admittedly he is still on the American Psycho and 3:10 to Yuma fan train for me and that train has slowed down quite a bit since those films were so long ago. I'm hoping Nolan gets a great performance out of him and lines like "what are you" indicate he might.
Tom Hardy is great, but I've been critical of his mask from day 1 but not just because it looks like something from district 9. Truth is I fail to see how a strong performance from a talented actor will shine through that huge fucking thing. Hardy is fantastic and I'm just not thrilled about his performance being limited. But hey maybe Nolan will shock me there and the mask wont be a hindrance at all.
Gary Oldman is amazing, we all know that, but he has been underutilized in both Nolan films so far. I guess there just wasn't a way to fit it in but Gordan is just a much deeper and interesting character than these movies are portraying. I hope he gets 1 or 2 shining moments in TDKR cause honestly both the actor and the character deserve it.
Hathaway I don't like and the idea of Catwoman in this I don't like. No need to say anymore.
All in all I really know next to nothing about the plot. The redeeming qualities I see really are just the actors and Nolan himself. The resume for all involved is damn impressive and it is possible for this film to be amazing. But here is the issue for me. It's not about the movie being amazing, it's the fact that is really needs to be amazing, no less. With all the talent and hype anything under an A score is shit. TDKR cant be a C+ or B film. If it is than it might as well be a D or F.
I want to be blown away and hopefully I will be, but my criticisms so far are leaning towards a C+ score which is bullshit. I really want you guys to come in here and praise the shit out of this thing. I'm hoping for over 90% on RT.

I just think that I have yet to see a Nolan film that didn't impress the shit out of me.
People were critical of Hedger, and for good reason. He hadn't really done a role like that before, and he nailed it.
As for Hardy with a mask, all I have to point to is Hugo Weaving in V for Vendetta and Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach in Watchmen to see that it can be done, and Nolan, I think, will pull it off.
It's also the end of the Nolan Batman franchise. He's proved himself in the previous 2 IMO, without a doubt. There really shouldn't be any doubt that he'll do it again.
But in terms of the grade for the film, you've put it on such a pedestal that it will never be able to meet your demands for it. Hell, you already think that people will be disgusted with Hathaway as an actress, how can the movie possibly get an A when that bias is already so heavy?
