The shoot out before the big fist brawl between the cops and baddies was one of the worst action sequences I've ever seen. Even though all the bad guys are armed with AK-47's they only manage to kill <10 cops at very close range and bullets are shown hitting the ground far infront of the charging cops. It reminded me of the awful bridge scene in Inception where the Van filled with people is sitting still and there are a bunch of people shooting the van at close range for about a minute and missing.
Some of Batman's fight scenes where he drops down on the bad guys were fucking retarded. Even though they surround Batman and could easily gun him down 20x over they charged 1 by 1 to try and melee him. Since Nolan wants to be "realistic," why not at least have batman smoke or flash bang them?
Miranda Tate/Talia's death was fucking horrible, tons of people laughed. How did this shit make it's way into the movie? She should have just been dead after the truck crashed. Instead she is shown up close, wound-less and her death acting was awful.
Gordon's realization that Batman was Bruce Wayne was cringe worthy, many people laughed. It's hinted many times that Gordan knew who Batman is, instead he is made out to look like a fucking idiot.
Bane was inaudible though really loud in a few scenes. During the scene were Alfred tells Bruce that he burned the letter from Rachel, Alfred was really loud but Bruce's lines were really quiet. There were a few other scenes like this with really shitty sound editing.
There were a bunch of repeated lame ass lines like Bane & Batman's permission to die as well as a few others. Most were more believably delivered than the lines Holmes, Eckhart s & Gyllenhaal had.
Gordon's reluctant hero cop friends death was really lame and earned some laughter. I loved the close up of his bloodless, bullet hole free corpse. Most of the violence was too PG-ish and took away from the serious tone. You can show bullet holes and some blood in a PG-13 movie! The Amazing Spider-Man did it right!
On a positive note Bale actually had Chemistry with both Tate and Kyle, he had none with Holmes & Gyllenhaal. I thought Hathaway was pretty good. A few of her lines in the trailers seemed really lame since they were out of context, but most were fine except for the storm is coming shit.
Most of the movie is awesomely scored and directed. I loved the ending, especially the emotional ass kicking Wayne inflicted on Alfred since he let him think he was dead.
I wonder how many people were surprised that Batman lived since there were about 6 comments made about the Batjet's auto-pilot through out the movie, and 2 were made near the end. Since Wayne was stuck in the prison for so long it should have been obvious that he would have considered the possibility that the bomb would not be able to be deactivated.
Crane returns! Lots of Prison Break cameos!
