Until IOS 6 comes out, your best bet for a free navigation app is Waze. I was really impressed by it. Only once has it screwed up and given me a longer than necessary route. However, I've used it ~25 times and its been great.

It has a cool feature where you can very quickly press to report an alert, whether its rough traffic jams or accidents or even police radar traps. And I've found others use that feature too. I was driving the other day and it all of a sudden said "Other drivers have reported an accident a few miles ahead. Would you like to alter your route?".

Also, once you get going, the ETA is relatively correct. Ive had 45 minute drives where the ETA was dead on from the start (I know it can alter as you drive, but its pretty intelligent about calculating traffic and such to give you a good estimate right when you start too). I mean, within 2-3 minutes which is great.

Its easy to use and doesnt eat much battery or data from what Ive seen.

There are better apps I hear, but they are paid apps. Waze should tide you over until ios 6 comes out.

Waze is really blowing up. Over 20 million users they are boasting. In fact as I posted in a separate thread Waze is going to start being factory integrated in some new cars.

I always see other Wazers around me when I do use the app.

Very. There's very little give on either side. Feels rock solid. Its not like a silicone case where it stretches off the sides. It fits over a screen protector just fine though.

Yet, it's still good for drops. Just watched a YouTube drop test with that incipio Ngp and it came out flawless.

Agreed. Theres not a hotter looking phone out IMO. I could do with a bigger screen but overall phone size is perfect imo.
