Have you gotten to chapter VII? I know you have a different card but do you see any frame rate drop in the beginning of the favela? Before that and after that chapter I've had 50-60 fps with everything on very high.

I just got done with that chapter. I didnt notice anything but I dont have an fps counter up.

Im not that far yet. Everything has been solid so far, no hiccups. If you have msaa set high try lowering it to x2 or off and have fxaa on, not a huge noticable difference. Msaa eats up your video ram and can be taxing, depending on your card. I think 4x msaa needs atleast 1.5gb vram.

I have fxaa only because I have a single 560 ti and I cant enable any msaa. The game is smooth for me but there is a small stutter, lag every once in a while.

This is why Arma is so good. Here's a mission built into the ACE mod that just gave me one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had.

I started a mission where the objective was to raid a town and destroy 2 ammo caches marked on the map based on fairly accurate intel. I was warned of suicide car bombers.

This first shot is the poor bastard I killed on my approach. He didn't have a chance.


Unfortunately, the noise attracted a crowd. Within a few seconds, I could hear the approaching cars. I fired a few warning shots and one civilian car stopped and the guy got out and took cover. The other two kept coming. I took cover inside a house and took them out from the windows.



Soon, the 2nd suicide bomber's car exploded and the first went with it. With a mounted machine gunner on a jeep pulling up, I decided it was time to move. I fled out the back door and ran through some alleyways until I was able to safely take cover away from the jeep. I managed to take out the jeep's driver and the machine gunner was a sitting duck for me once I moved out of his view. He tried to get out and run but he didn't get far.



I fought my way through houses and got to the caches. I dropped the charges down and set the timer for 2 minutes on each. I took cover in this building and waited. I was confronted by one last group of enemies but they were out-positioned. I took 2 out before the charges went off. Mission success.

I really should get around to playing the other ARMA stuff....I have all teh DLC and I only played DAYZ so far.
