What's everyone's beef with Deus Ex: IW? I loved that game, maybe I'm just a noob.

So, can you play the entire game in 3rd person, or does it just switch when needed?

The devs haven't said 100% whether you can disable it, but supposedly its ONLY when using the stealth suit augmentation/the blade augmentation, and when using cover.

Also, a dev confirmed that the only city thats really "futuristic" looking is that one double-decker city. The rest are going to look pretty run down like much of the stuff in the original Deus Ex.

3rd person dev comments

I can't find the dev comments for the city anymore, the thread is still there but the guy that posted deleted his post I think. It was basically explaining the "backstory" that the double-decker city is owned by an individual and he invested in expanding it(government didn't want to re-zone or some bs) and made it into a double-decker. I believe its somewhere near Hong Kong and in Deus Ex 1 that was one of the more futuristic areas(think Tracer Tong missions).

Yeah, the story is riddled with twists and conspiracies.

Really saying anything other than that is a spoiler. You should play Deus Ex. Skip the 2nd one. Human Revolution is a prequel.

Why is the 2nd one untouchable? Nobody has informed me why it was so bad.
