My Senior Thesis video: Strange Misery

Thought you might be interested in checking out my final video project for my undergrad.


Title: Strange Misery
Run time: 14:40

About: Set in 1952, this story follows a hunter through the winter forests of the UP. One day when the hunter loses his trail he stumbles upon an abandoned cabin and makes a discovery that sets off an adventure of his own curiosity. Little to his knowledge, however, this adventure comes with strange consequences.

The story is told in a series of flashbacks and flash forwards, and it incorporates the history of the UP during WWII where there actually were German POW camps during that time.

It's kind of long. If you don't want to watch it I don't really care. Just thought I'd leave it here for anyone interested.

Ahh! Yeah I know I tried to find old used ones but I was running out of time so I bought that one on ebay. It said it was an old model, but it just looks too new.

Also...happen to notice the microwave in the first cabin scene? If it gets into any festivals I'm going to just shadow that out in post-production

lol, no, I missed that.

I didn't like the ECU's in the train car scene, they were way too close. Maybe should have gradually kept getting tighter and tighter. Also wasn't a fan of the length of the fades for the flashbacks, they seemed kind of long. Just minor things.


I enjoyed it.
