I was coming home from a walk and I'm looking in the same direction of the sky that this thing was in last time, and suddenly it appears. It was completely clear out tonight, so I got a long, clear look at it. It was hard to tell the altitude, because there were no clouds, but it definitely wasn't high. Nowhere near commercial jet altitude. It was a bit further away this time.

It was the same color.... orangeish-redish, and it looked like a fireball. The entire time the intensity of the light was fluctuating from very intense, to less intense, but it wasn't blinking, or changing intensity in any regular manner, it was random.

The light started fluctuating less and less bright, until eventually it appeared to have blinked out completely.

I've had some experiences with UFOs before. One time I was driving home and this really bright light passed right by windshield and I was like WTF. My brother nor my friend saw what I saw. It was something that I couldn't explain. Oh, and then about a month ago, I was driving and saw some object in the sky. It looked to be metal, and the view I had made it seem like it was a big rectangle. I lost sight of it before I could get my brother to look. Either way, I know we aren't alone, and I hope whomever they are, they are coming in peace.

I can't speak for your OP sighting, but this post sounds a lot like a sky lantern. Dipshits are always setting them off in my area, messin' with my head. Until the flicker gives them away, they do have a UFO vibe to them.
