Is it a black bike? If it is then there's your problem.
I've never been pulled over driving drunk. We've been pulled over MANY times while sober though, only to be let go because they didn't find anything.
Its very typical for them to walk up and say "Do you have a license?" They don't request our license, first they make sure we have one (cause we're beaners, ya know?)
Odd, they say the same to me.
But i'm not a minority? Maybe it's just jargon?
The friend I have who gets pulled over most, he is white... HOWEVER, racial profiling definitely happens, in the area I am in, it happens the farther out you get from the Twin Cities. My dad had two friends drive all the way out to support him when my Grandma passed away. They literally had a cop u-turn to follow them, they tailed them for about ten miles. That kind of stuff always happened to black friends of my dad's, especially his hunting buddies from work.
I actually have never hear any of my black friends complain about being harassed first hand, joke about the stereotypes obviously, but I have a Latino friend who was harassed daily by cops when he was a teenager.
I know this is all anecdotal, I imagine it varies from place to place. In New Prague, Minnesota, were people used to close their shudders when they saw a Swede driving through, it is going to be more noticeable.
WCG, the only forums where a drunk driving discussion transcends into a racial profiling discussion.
Gotta love it.
