I wasn't aware that vaccines were getting a significant enough portion of the credit for lower mortality that one should care that it got any credit at all.

Certainly vaccines save SOME lives, don't they? Is it your contention that if vaccinated the unfortunate souls who died after contracting the H1N1 influenza strain would have still died from it? Or are you saying the deadly side effects of vaccinations are so common as to cause an equal number of deaths compared to lives that would have been saved?

Smallpox, polio, and measles are three diseases that come to mind that have been pretty much done away with in the US due to vaccines.

There really isn't even much of an argument to be made here.

Certainly and I alluded to as much in my earlier posts concerning smallpox, polio, and measles. My contention isn't that vaccinations deserves NO credit, but that it, along with modern medicine gets too much credit as opposed to other factors.

Where would you point me to find something that gave too much credit to vaccines?

It just feels like this is a topic so you can launch into some hollistic healing argument or some other theory. I think almost anyone would agree that vaccinations in combination with better hygine, diet and better medicinal practices all contribute to elongated lifespan.

So what should get the credit? Juices and berries won't do jack shit for a person that needs a triple bypass.

The fallacy lies in the fact that Nippon is attributing only medicine distributed by doctors in his pretence, instead of including medical advances that are no longer considered that special, like toothpaste, irradiation, the addition of flouride to water, ect. All of these are Modern Medical advancements, but don't qualify as vaccines, yet they still contribute to our overall health.
